Several Ships Debuting in 2025

2025 promises the debut of ships from the big three–Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line–as well as Disney Cruise Line. MSC Cruises and more.

Debuting first in April 2025, MSC Cruises’ MSC World America will sail from Miami, Florida and sail Caribbean cruises. As the largest America-based ship in the MSC Cruises fleet, she can carry 6,762 passengers along with 2,138 crew members on her 22 decks. We know she will have 7 Distinct Districts, offer the largest MSC Yacht Club, feature enhanced family programming, and much more.

Also debuting in April, is Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Aqua. She is the sister ship to Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva. At 10% larger than her sister ships, she will be able to carry 3,571 guests at double occupancy. She will feature new dining experiences, expanded outdoor spaces which include the world’s first hybrid roller coaster and waterslide, new accommodations in The Haven by Norwegian, and more. Norwegian Aqua’s first voyages will embark from Port Canaveral.

Disney Cruise Line is expected to debut two ships in 2025. Disney Adventure will sail from Singapore in May 2025, while Disney Destiny will sail from Port Everglades in November 2025. Disney Cruise LIne revealed details about Disney Adventure back in August, and also spent not one, not two, but three days giving more details about Disney Destiny.

Royal Caribbean International’s Star of the Seas will sail in August 2025. Guests will find some of their favorites first introduced by her big sister, Icon of the Seas as well as some new venues and experiences. She will sail out of Port Canaveral, Florida and offer western Caribbean itineraries. She has the capacity for approximately 5,610 guests at double occupancy.

Princess Cruises’ Star Princess initial debut was pushed back from July 2025, and will now begin sailing in September 2025 from Barcelona, Spain. She wills sail the Mediterranean through October before crossing the Atlantic to sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she will homeport for her Caribbean season.

Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady has been significantly delayed, but it looks like she will finally debut in September 2025. In May, the cruise line announced that Brilliant Lady will debut from the four corners of the United States. Her inaugural voyages will take place first from New York City on September 5, 2025, and Miami on October 17, 2025. She will sail from Los Angeles and Seattle in 2026. Brilliant Lady will be the first Virgin Voyages ship to traverse the Panama Canal and explore Alaska.
