Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed two new entertainment options that will debut onboard Norwegian Aqua in April 2025.
The first, “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince,” is an hour-long immersive tribute show to the Oscar winning, seven-time Grammy Award winning and 38-time Grammy nominated artist, Prince. The show, which was created in partnership with Prince Legacy, LLC and Primary Wave Music, will honor the award winning artist’s music and life through a concert-like experience. Guests will be treated to chart-topping hits like “Let’s Go Crazy,” “Little Red Corvette,” “Purple Rain,” and more as they enjoy the show in the Aqua Theater & Club. Guests will be able to enjoy the show from their seats or on the dance floor with the cast.
Norwegian Aqua will also debut “Elements: The World Expanded.” The cruise line is enhancing its “highest guest-rated” show, “Elements,” into a new show with new surprises. “Elements” began fifteen years ago and is now featured on four of the cruise line’s ships. “Elements: The World Expanded” will be more immersive while it combines aerial acrobatics, magic, music and dance into a show inspired by the four elements–earth, wind, water and fire. Guests will be captivated by the show that is sure to appeal to all.
Both “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince” and “Elements: The World Expanded” were developed by NCL’s creative team in Tampa, Florida. Creative Studios by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings worked in partnership with award-winning Broadway choreographer and director, Patricia Wilcox, to bring about the extraordinary entertainment.
President of Norwegian Cruise Line, David J Herrera, said, “For decades, NCL has set the standard in entertainment at sea, with world class productions and talent that rivals those found in major cities like Las Vegas, New York City and London. For Norwegian Aqua, we are thrilled to build on our legacy of excellence in entertainment to offer our guests more options across the ship, including exclusive original productions that cannot be seen anywhere else on land or at sea.”
Norwegian Aqua will also feature returning favorite entertainment venues and shows such as “The Improv at Sea” comedy club, “The Price is Right LIVE on NCL” game show and the popular “Syd Norman’s Presents: Rumours.” “Rumours” is a tribute to Fleetwood Mac that will be performed in the Aqua Theater & Club in order to accommodate more guests in each show.
Norwegian Aqua will debut in April 2025 when she begins sailing seven-day Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral, Florida. She will call on Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; and the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay.
