This Monday we explored Carnival Cruise Line’s Dream-Class ships–Carnival Dream (2009), Carnival Magic (2011), and Carnival Breeze (2012). Which have you been on?
MSC Cruises announced MSC Opera will begin sailing year-round in the South Caribbean. This is the first time the cruise line will have a ship in the South Caribbean for the summer season and will have two ships during the winter season.
Galveston Wharves Port Director & CEO, Rodger Rees announced Disney Cruise Line was bringing a ship to the Port of Galveston year-round during the joining meeting of the City of Galveston and Board of Trustees of the Galveston Wharves. While Disney Cruise Line has not confirmed this information, Rees told the council the cruise line’s year-round presence would begin in 2027.
MSC Cruises’ MSC Magnifica will undergo an extensive makeover in October and November. Not only will the ship receive enhancements to several public spaces, she will also receive a new spa and gym as well as the cruise line’s “ship within a ship” concept–MSC Yacht Club.
Celebrity Cruises announced it will invest more than $250 million to renovate its Solstice-class ships. The cruise line will begin with Celebrity Solstice in 2026. She is expected to reenter service in March 2026 will bow to stern renovations, new restaurants, entertainment and four new stateroom categories.
Holland America Line announced two 2027 Solar Eclipse sailings. The sailings will place guests directly in the line of totality off the coast of Northern Africa on August 2, 2027. Nieuw Statendam will be positioned off the coast of Morocco, while Oosterdam will view the eclipse off the coast of Tunisia.
