Celebrity Cruises to Renovate Solstice-Class Ships

Celebrity Cruises is ready to invest more than $250 million to renovate all of the ships in its Solstice-class. Celebrity Solstice was the first to debut in 2008 and will be the first to debut new spaces and venues in 2026.

Celebrity Solstice will reenter service in March 2026 with bow to stern renovations of its outdoor spaces, new restaurants and entertainment. Guests will also see four new stateroom categories available to book mid-June–the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, the Deluxe Panoramic Oceanview Suite, the Panoramic Ocean View Suite, and the Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View. Additionally, all 1,479 staterooms on the ship will receive an upgrade.

“Our Solstice Series ships represent the best of classic cruising, and now we’re elevating this vacation experience even further by adding brand new experiences and enhancements at every turn,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. “Guests will enjoy more ways to explore and restore, all while staying true to what made our guests fall in love with these ships in the first place.”

Guests will also find new entertainment venues starting with Boulevard Lounge. This cabaret-inspired lounge will showcase everything from new game shows and trivia to candlelit concerts and dueling pianos. Near the Boulevard Lounge, is the Boulevard Bar where guests can enjoy cocktails before or after the show. Guests will also find a new sports bar–Celebrity Barcade–where they can watch their favorite teams across multiple screens or enjoy darts, billiards, retro board games, and more.

Celebrity Solstice will feature two new dining venues–Trattoria Rossa and Fine Cut Steakhouse. Trattoria Rossa offers the perfect date night filled with authentic Italian dishes prepared tableside including pasta made from scratch daily. Fine Cut Steakhouse, which is a favorite on the cruise line’s Edge-class ships, offers 30-day dry-aged steaks, seafood, elegance and Celebrity’s elevated service.

The top deck of Celebrity Solstice will become Sunset Park, a half acre outdoor oasis. The outdoor venue will feature food and drinks, live music, lawn games and more. Guests will find new private cabanas for rent and an expanded Sunset Bar.

Guests of The Retreat will find a completely reimagined experience and enhanced suites. The Retreat Sundeck will be all-new with plenty of seating, shade and an oversized hot tub. The Retreat Lounge will be redesigned making it the perfect place for a light meal or drinks.

Other areas also receiving a refresh include: Café Al Bacio, Cellar Masters, World Class Bar, Martini Bar, Pool Bar, Passport Bar, Blu–exclusive to AquaClass guests, Luminae–exclusive to guests of The Retreat, the Fitness Center, and Camp at Sea.

There are five total ships in this Solstice-class–Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Silhouette, and Celebrity Reflection. No date has been released for the refit of the remaining four ships.
