The week began with a huge Merry Cruisemas and news from Carnival Cruise Line. Carnival is improving the customer cruise experience for the new year beginning with the debut of Carnival Kitchen, a dedicated cooking class featuring Chief Culinary Officer Emeril Lagasse’s favorites, available aboard Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Panorama, Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration. Also offered is an immersive VIP culinary experience at the Chef’s Table, online booking for the popular “Behind the Fun” ship tours and other online enhancements.

To celebrate the debut of its newest cruise ship in May 2024, Cunard Line released the 50 expanded shore experiences that encompass 60 ports for Queen Anne’s maiden season. These shore excursions will allow guests to experience the culture, history and natural wonders around Britain, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Star arrived in South America and will begin sailing various South American itineraries 2024. Itineraries include 14-day South America: Argentina & Chile voyages in January and February, a 14-day South America: Chile & Falkland Island sailing from March 17, 2024 through March 31, 2024, and a 10-day South America: Argentina cruise from March 31, 2024 through April 10, 2024. 

A new Arabian cruise line, AROYA Cruises, has unveiled its very first ship. The ship is the former World Dream from the now bankrupt Genting Cruises and is currently being refurbished at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. She is being tailored for Arabian passenger’s tastes and preferences and is expected to debut in 2024. 

Royal Caribbean International released some amazing stats and fun facts this week. Everything from the number of cruisers and ports they visited to the number of ice cream cones served this year. While the numbers are jaw dropping, Royal Caribbean is looking forward to the debut of Icon of the Seas and an even bigger 2024. 

MSC Cruises has revealed its Wave Season Sale going on now through January 15, 2024. The cruise line is offering sailings starting at $279 with an all-inclusive drink package, free WiFI, kids sailing free, and onboard credit up to $400 depending on the cruise. Wave Season is the perfect time to book that spring or summer vacation.
