Merry Cruisemas and Carnival Cruise Line Announces Enhancements

From the debut of Carnival Kitchen to Chef’s Table 2.0 to online enhancements, Carnival Cruise Line is improving the guest experience for the New Year.

But before we get into that, all of us at La Lido Loca would like to say…..

Now back to Carnival Cruise Line’s announcement.

Carnival Jubilee is debuting Carnival Kitchen, a dedicated cooking class featuring Chief Culinary Officer Emeril Lagasse’s favorites. Guests will learn to curate a three-course meal which includes Emeril’s world-renowned New-New Orleans Pasta, Shrimp & Okra Gumbo with Filé and Strawberries Romanoff.  Carnival Kitchen is also available for guests aboard Carnival Panorama, Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration.

The cruise line is now offering an immersive VIP culinary experience for its popular Chef’s Table. The experience includes a multi-course dinner hosted by the Executive Chef which includes new menu items. Chef’s Table 2.0 starts with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a galley tour, and finishes with appetizers, entrees and desserts. Guests fleetwide will find unique selections of food and wine when they choose the Chef’s Table 2.0 experience.

The popular “Behind the Fun” ship tours are available to be booked online starting January 1. Guests will no longer be required to wait to book upon boarding, but will now be able to book pre-cruise by selecting the popular tour pre-cruise as a shore excursion. The tour will take place during a Fun Day at Sea. There is now also an accessible, abbreviated tour for guests with disabilities.

Carnival is making debarkation a little easier. The cruise line has added a new feature on the HUB app where guests can indicate their debarkation time and number of bags and their zone tags will be delivered to them. Additionally, guests who prefer to carry their own bags off the ship are also able to use the HUB app to choose the time they wish to debark by selecting their desired group. VIFP members and suite guests will still receive their special tags with priority debarkation, and those who prefer not to use the app can still follow the traditional process. This new feature is currently available on Carnival Conquest, Carnival Elation, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Dream and Mardi Gras. The cruise line is expecting a fleet-wide rollout of this new feature by February.
