Cunard Line Releases Shore Experiences for Queen Anne’s Debut

Cunard Line is getting ready to debut its fourth ship, Queen Anne, on May 3, 2024. Queen Anne is the first Cunard Line ship to launch since Queen Elizabeth joined the fleet in 2010. With an occupancy capacity of 3,000 guests, she is also the cruise line’s largest active ship.

To celebrate the cruise line has released the 50 expanded shore experiences that encompass 60 ports for Queen Anne’s maiden season. These Signature Shore Experiences offer guests the opportunity to experience the culture, history and natural wonders around Britain, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

Some of the excursions offered include an exclusive orchestral performance in Barcelona, a behind-the-scenes tour of St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, a wine tasting at the Enchanted Forest of Madeira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a fjord safari in Norway to a goat cheese farm. Guests can also get hands-on with glassblowing in Haugesund or crafting custard tarts in Lisbon.

Katie McAlister, president of Cunard Line said, “We are all incredibly excited to welcome Queen Anne to the Cunard fleet in May and it is only right that her maiden season is complemented with a truly captivating shore experience program. From ancient ruins and culinary escapades to helicopter rides and private snorkeling sessions, we’re delighted to be able to offer such exciting new shore experiences to Queen Anne’s guests.”

During her maiden season, Queen Anne will sail from Southampton offering itineraries to the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, the Canary Islands and the Norwegian Fjords. She will call on 60 destinations in 16 countries.

When she debuts on May 3, 2024, Queen Anne will sail a 7-night voyage from Southampton with ports of call in La Coruña, Spain, and Lisbon, Portugal. She will then sail a 14-night voyage in the Canary Islands before traveling the British Isles, Scotland, Ireland, and Cunard’s founding home port, Liverpool.
