Princess Cruises became a two-time GUINNESS WORLD RECORD holder as they held the “World’s Largest Pizza Party.” More than 60,000 slices of pizza were consumed during the party which took place over two days, across 16 ships, 3 continents, and 8 time zones. Princess Cruises also set the world record for the “Largest Marriage Vow Renewal Ceremony” in 2020.
Virgin Voyages and SoulCycle have partnered to give away cruises! Sailors “Seas the Ride” by simply participating in a high-energy spin class at any of the 61 SoulCycle studios by September 4, 2024. Every ride counts as an entry and 61 cruises will be awarded.
Royal Caribbean International held the “World’s Biggest Weekend” summer party when it officially christened Utopia of the Seas in Port Canaveral, Florida. The star-studded naming ceremony was led by the ship’s godmother, Meghan Trainor, who blessed the ship, the crew, and the millions of guests who will sail on her in the years to come before she performed for the audience.
Norwegian Cruise Line announced the addition of a new US homeport for Norwegian Jewel’s 2026 spring and summer season–the Port of Philadelphia (PhilaPort). She will begin sailing from Philadelphia on April 16, 2026, and offer 7- to 9- day cruises to Bermuda.
Celebrity Cruises announced its 2025 President’s Cruise. For the first time, the President’s Cruise will be an 8-night Norwegian Fjords voyage aboard Celebrity Apex. She will embark from Southampton, UK on May 17, 2025 and include ports of call in Bruges, Belgium; Olden, Geiranger, Alesund, and Stavanger, Norway; as well as two sea days.
MSC Cruises has debuted two brand-new gin and tonic cocktails across its fleet of ships and revealed the most popular drink cruisers choose while onboard. Guests can enjoy the new Jasmine & Rose G&T or Skinny Lemongrass & Ginger G&T. Popular classics include margaritas, piña coladas, strawberry daiquiris, and mojitos. Guests can choose from variations of these summer cocktails as well as various alcohol-free options.
