Royal Caribbean International is collaborating with the leading Bahamian-based environmental consulting firm, SEV Consulting Group, to maintain its promise to preserve the Bahamian environment during the construction and operation of its Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau. RCI is also committed to local hiring and supporting the local economy and will showcase Bahamian music, cuisine, entertainment, and so much more.
AIDA Cruises has opened a first-of-its-kind Fleet Operations Center in Hamburg, Germany. The innovative center provides round-the-clock support to cruise ships for eleven AIDA Cruises ships and 20 other ships of Carnival Corporation’s European cruise brands. The center is nearly 2,700 square feet and is equipped with a 60-foot-wide and 5-foot-high video wall that displays all relevant information like weather, planned routes, radar images, protected zones, and current energy consumption.
The Alaskan seafood market continues to be affected by global demand and pricing pressures and Carnival Corporation is working to mitigate the adverse effects on the industry. Carnival is committed to stocking fresh, locally sourced seafood in its ship- and land-based restaurants and dining venues, and they are working with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute on several key initiatives.
Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for new itineraries from Tampa, Florida and Mobile, Alabama sailing in 2026/2027. The sailings from the popular ports will be to The Bahamas, the Caribbean and the Panama Canal. The sailings include Carnival’s private destinations of Half Moon Cay or Celebration Key which debuts in 2025.
Holland America Line’s Pinnacle Grill is debuting a new and refreshed menu–with a regional twist. Signature dishes from renowned Chef David Burke will remain at the core of the menu but guests can now also choose from a rotating selection of menu items that will highlight the culinary flavors of the destination.
Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Quest will be exploring Southeast Asia and Japan in the late 2024 and 2025 cruise seasons. Sailings will include overnight stays in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; maiden calls to Wakayama, Ishinomaki, Niigata and Akita, Japan; and Seabourn Conversations with renowned speakers. Seabourn Encore will make her first ever visit to the United States while Seabourn Quest is offering two new shore excursions.
