TUI Cruises has revealed the name of its second inTUItion class ship–Mein Schiff Flow. The vessel is the third ship being added to the cruise line’s fleet in as many years and will increase the fleet’s capacity by almost 60% once she debuts. She will have a 4,000 guest capacity and offer a relaxing space to “go with the flow” and slow down. Mein Schiff Flow will debut in 2026.
Carnival Cruise Line commemorated 20 years of sailing from Baltimore, Maryland by honoring the first responders who assisted during the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge and making a $25,000 donation to the US Naval Academy Foundation. The donation will support the foundation’s Energy Security and Infrastructure Resilience program.
Virgin Voyages announced Brilliant Lady’s itineraries for her 2026 Alaska season. Her 7-night “MerMaiden” roundtrip voyage from Seattle, Washington will set sail on May 21, 2026. Sailors will visit ports such as Ketchikan, Sitka, Tracy Arm Fjord and Prince Rupert. Voyages go on sale to the general public on November 13, 2024.
Princess Cruises’ Regal Princess has had both cruises canceled from Galveston since her 33-night transatlantic repositioning cruise from Northern Europe due to “essential technical repairs.” It is unclear what the repairs are, but as of the writing of this article, it seems Regal Princess will embark from Galveston on November 10, 2024 as scheduled.
Royal Caribbean Group announced better than expected financial results on its third quarter 2024 earnings call. Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO Jason Liberty also spoke to 2025 and beyond. Some of the highlights for the future included new build order, the Texas market and the company’s shoreside presence.
Princess Cruises has announced its biggest and best-ever Cyber Sale going on through November 25,2024. Good on voyages worldwide, the sale includes up to 50% off cruise fares, 50% off deposits and the third and fourth guest sail free.
