Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady is setting sail to Alaska in the summer of 2026. Brilliant Lady, currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, is the fourth ship in the Virgin Voyages fleet and is expected to enter service in September 2025.
Between May and September 2026, Brilliant Lady will sail 17 voyages to 12 destinations in Alaska. Guests will also have the opportunity to book excursions to explore Alaska’s wildlife and landscapes, go salmon fishing, dog sledding, glacier trekking and so much more.
On Thursday, October 31, 2024, the 7- to 12-night itineraries will be available to purchase to loyalty club members who signed up for the “Front(ier) of the Line” pass earlier this year. The passes allowed Sailors to pre-purchase a voyage. The general public can begin booking Alaskan voyages on November 13, 2024.
Virgin Voyages also revealed Brilliant Lady’s 7-night “MerMaiden” roundtrip voyage from Seattle, Washington that sets sail on May 21, 2026. Sailors will enjoy ports of call in Ketchikan, Sitka, Tracy Arm Fjord and Prince Rupert.
Virgin Voyages’ CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu said, “We have incredibly high repeat rates, so our Sailors are always challenging us to seek new horizons; they always want to know ‘where else can we sail with Virgin?’ This brand is charting new paths, and the sold-out response to our Front(ier) of the Line passes earlier this year showed us just how sought after our Alaskan itineraries are. We continue to reach for the high seas with our itineraries, with Brilliant Lady being no exception. Soon our Sailors can visit one of the world’s most incredible destinations on the No. 1 cruise line, all while enjoying new and exciting artists, chefs and musicians that bring the Virgin vibe.”
Brilliant Lady will make her debut in September 2025 from New York. She will sail itineraries to Bermuda; Charleston, South Carolina; and Canada/New England. In October 2025, she will reposition from Quebec City to Miami, Florida where she will sail 7- to 12-day itineraries throughout the Caribbean until mid-March 2026. In March 2026, she will sail a 16-day itinerary to Los Angeles where she will sail four cruises before she makes her way to Alaska.
Virgin Voyages is an adults-only cruise line whose cruise fare is nearly all-inclusive. Sailors will only need to be prepared to pay for their own excursions and alcoholic beverages.
