We started the week with news from Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Venezia. On her way across the Atlantic, guests on board were able to get a first look at the fleet’s “Shopping Fun Italian Style” luxury brands and exclusive collections in its retail spaces.
We learned that Crystal Cruises is returning to Port Everglades in 2024. Newly refurbished Crystal Serenity will be returning to service in July of this year and will be back in Port Everglades in November of 2024. Keep your eye on Crystal Cruises—more is coming.
Disney Cruise Line announced their 2024 holiday cruises. Halloween on the High Seas begins mid-September and continues through October 2024, and Very Merrytime Christmas begins mid-November and continues through December 2024. Booking opens June 26, 2023. Disney fans, you will not want to miss out.
MSC Group announced the next phase of its shore power plan. With this announcement, they identified at least 15 additional ports in Europe and the United States where its cruise ships can connect to shore power while in port. MSC Group is well on the way to meeting its goal to be 100% net-zero on greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
Carnival Venezia arrived in New York City, was officially named by Jay Leno, and then embarked on her inaugural voyage out of Manhattan Cruise Terminal. She returned from that inaugural voyage yesterday and will set sail on an 8-day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean tomorrow, June 19, 2023. Stay tuned as Carnival Cruise Line is debuting two more cruise ships over the next year.
Princess Cruise Line revealed its Top-Deck Family Activity Zone aboard Sun Princess, Park 19. Located in decks 19, 20 and 21 it holds Sea Breeze, the only Rollglider at sea, along with eight other activities that have been tailored based on guest feedback for more family and group activities spaces.
