Crystal Cruises Returning to Port Everglades

Crystal Cruises is returning to Port Everglades in November 2024 with its newly refurbished ship, Crystal Serenity. She will be sailing Caribbean and South America itineraries while calling home to the world’s third-largest cruise port.

Crystal Serenity will begin sailing again on July 30, 2023 while homeporting from Marseille. She will sail a variety of itineraries in Northern Europe, the United Kingdom, Iceland and Canada before making her way to her first United States port in New York City on September 17, 2023.

On January 18, 2024, after several voyages from New York and then Miami, Crystal Serenity will embark on a 141-night roundtrip World Cruise from Miami. Once she returns she will offer cruises from multiple ports before she arrives in Port Everglades on November 9, 2024.

Crystal’s Vice President of Port Operations & Itinerary Planning, Spyros Almpertis, said, “We are excited to make our return to Port Everglades. More than three million guests sail out of Fort Lauderdale each year, and we are happy to now be an option when looking for an exceptional cruising experience.”

Port Everglades CEO and Port Director Jonathan Daniels shared, “Crystal is a natural fit for Port Everglades and will complement our growing fleet of high-end brands. Port Everglades is already known as a big-ship cruise port, and more luxury lines are discovering that our terminals are fully scalable to accommodate more intimate ships and their discerning guests.”

The ultra luxury cruise ship underwent an extensive refurbishment on May 29, 2023 in Trieste, Italy. Updates included larger and updated suites, which also reduced guest capacity making for a more personalized experince. Guests will notice advanced wellness facilities and a revitalized spa. They will enjoy a new pickleball court and refreshed entertainment and events. Foodies will welcome the new culinary options. The ship was also equipped with a shore power connection to reduce emissions while docked at ports that offer shore power.

Crystal Cruises is not done. Expect to see a refurbished Crystal Symphony in the fall.
