Carnival Cruise Line Announces Carnival Jubilee’s “Texas-Sized Fun” Team

Just a little over a week ago, Carnival Cruise Line announced the senior officers for Carnival Jubilee. And yesterday, August 23, 2023, the cruise line announced the cruise ship’s Entertainment Director and Cruise Director. As the two most influential positions on the ship, the Entertainment and Cruise Directors are responsible for planning activities, interacting with guests, announcing shows and in general setting the “fun” tone for every sailing.

Carnival Cruise Line has chosen Matthew Boyd as Entertainment Director and Kyndall “Fire” Magyar as Cruise Director on Carnival Jubilee when she sets sail from Galveston, Texas on December 23, 2023. Together, these two leaders will bring over 20 years of experience to the teams they will lead.

Chris Nelson, vice president of entertainment said of the pair, “Watching their dedication come to life on board Carnival Jubilee’s sister ships, I know Kyndall and Matthew are perfectly suited to deliver Texas-sized fun that maximizes the capabilities of this spectacular new ship and upholds our high standards for entertainment.”

Cruise Director Kyndall “Fire” Magyar, who is a Texas native, has been with Carnival since 2016. She has most recently served as cruise director aboard Carnival Jubilee’s sister ship, Mardi Gras. She was part of Carnival Horizon’s inaugural team as well as the cruise director aboard Carnival Vista in 2021. She is excited to join the Carnival Jubilee family and return home to Texas.

Magyar revealed her excitement via social media. “It is with overwhelming excitement and immense pride to finally get to share this news with all of you. I have the honor and privilege to be the Inaugural Cruise Director on the Carnival Jubilee!”

“I will be there with a wonderful team that I can’t wait to share with y’all soon enough but the one who will be right by my side every step of the way is the incredible Matthew Boyd! He will be the Entertainment Director onboard and we are sure to make lots of waves together. Please join me in wishing him congratulations as well!”

Entertainment Director Matthew Boyd, who joined Carnival in 2010, was recently named as the cruise line’s 2023 Entertainment Director of the year. He has been entertainment director aboard several ships since 2018, but most recently aboard Carnival Jubilee’s sister ship Carnival Celebration.

He too took to social media to express his excitement. “The cat’s out of the bag, and it’s a roaring celebration! I am truly honored to announce that Kyndall Fire and I have been chosen to lead the entertainment onboard  Carnival’s newest ship, the Jubilee. Get ready, everyone, because you’re in for a spectacular treat!”

When Carnival Jubilee debuts with her Texas lone star in her bow, her unique zones—Currents and The Shores—and other features already popular on her sister ships, Magyar and Boyd will be there to ensure every guest can “Choose Texas-Sized Fun” Carnival style.
