Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America Line Announce New and Longer Sailings

Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for more of its 2025 sailings.

Sailings to Alaska from Seattle onboard Carnival Spirit and Carnival Luminosa along with several Carnival Journeys aboard the same ships have been revealed. The Carnival Journeys include a transatlantic crossing from Barcelona, Spain to Miami, Florida as well as a 29-day transpacific crossing from Brisbane, Australia to Seattle, Washington that features stops in Japan.

“The wildlife, well-preserved natural wonder, the incredible experiences on shore and the welcoming locals are just some of the reasons why Alaska cruises are so popular with guests, and also why they tend to book quickly,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “These two ships will also build on our popular Carnival Journeys program, making more truly bucket-list destinations available on opposite sides of the world – with Carnival Luminosa’s amazing 29-day transpacific voyage visiting Japan and Carnival Spirit’s two cruises ahead of Alaska season, which will take the ship from Barcelona to Miami and then from Miami to San Francisco.”

Holland America Line has opened  2025 bookings for its European season. The cruise line announced sailings that include more cruises over 10 days, more sailings to Iceland and a combined 62 overnight calls or late-night departures in popular cities. The new program allows guests to immerse themselves in the art, culture, history, and landscapes of the region.

The cruise line will feature more sailings to trending destinations such as the Holy Land, Iberia and Iceland. One new Legendary Voyage, 28-day “Arctic Circle,” will explore Greenland’s glaciers and wildlife when it makes five ports of call in the country along with ports of call in Iceland, North Cape and Scotland.

“For Holland America Line, Europe 2025 is all about longer cruises, extended time in port and offering the most diverse range of itineraries from weeklong vacations to month long explorations,” said Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer of Holland America Line.

“We have 10 departure cities this season, and we are excited to be back homeporting in Rotterdam with two ships, deepening our connection to our founding city. Anyone looking to explore Europe in-depth will be able to find a Holland America Line cruise tailored to their interests, whether it’s beach, history, nature, architecture, fjords, castles or cuisine.”

These 2025 cruise offerings from Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America Line are giving more opportunity for cruisers to make another check mark on their bucket list.
