Carnival Cruise Line Announces 2027-2028 Deployment for the Port of Galveston

Carnival Cruise Line announced it will continue sailing four ships out of the Port of Galveston for the 2027-2028 season. Carnival Breeze and Carnival Jubilee will continue homeporting from the Texas port while Carnival Horizon and Carnival Spirit will homeport in Galveston for the first time. The vessels will sail everything from 4-day itineraries to longer Carnival Journeys cruises.

“Galveston is one of our most popular homeports, and this new deployment continues our commitment to our Texas guests and the community by adding more variety than ever,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “The four ships that will sail from Galveston in 2027/28 are each of their own unique class. That means guests will have more choices as they personalize their future cruise vacations and choose the fun that’s right for them from Galveston.”

Beginning May 19, 2027, the Vista-Class Carnival Horizon will sail a special eight-day Western Caribbean cruise with ports of call in Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Isla Tropicale. Following that sailing, the nearly 4,000-passenger vessel will sail 4- and 5-day itineraries to the Western Caribbean. She will sail more than 70 sailings between May 2027 and April 2028.

Carnival Spirit will reposition to Galveston via the Panama Canal following her Alaska season. Her 16-day Panama Canal Journeys sailing will embark from Seattle on September 25, 2027 and visit ports like Cabo San Lucas, Puntarenas and Cartagena on her way to Galveston. Beginning October 11, 2027, Carnival Spirit will begin sailing from the popular Texas port. The Spirit-Class ship will offer 4-, 5-, and 6-day Western Caribbean cruises with ports of call in Cozumel, Progreso and Belize. She will also offer several 10-day cruises to the Caribbean and Panama, as well as the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

Carnival Breeze, which is currently sailing from Galveston, will begin sailing new 7-day itineraries in May 2027. She will offer Western and Eastern itineraries that will call at Celebration Key, Key West, Nassau, Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Belize and Isla Tropicale. Additionally, the Dream-Class ship will sail a Christmas cruise, a 14-day Eastern Caribbean Journeys voyage, and a 14-day Southern Caribbean Journeys voyage.

Carnival Jubilee will also continue to sail from Galveston and offer 6- and 8-day cruises between May 2027 and April 2028. Her 6-day Western Caribbean sailings will call on Cozumel and Isla Tropicale, and her 8-day Bahamas sailings will call on Nassau, Celebration Key and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. The Excel-Class ship was built for the Texas market and even features the Star of Texas on her bow.

With this lineup in the 2027 season, Carnival Cruise Line continues to focus on the Texas market and will continue to be the largest cruise operator sailing from the Lone Star State.
