Scarlet Lady, Virgin Voyages first lady, is getting a makeover. Beginning November 14 through November 28, 2024, Scarlet Lady will enter a dry dock for a “full-on glow-up”–her first since she debuted in 2021. Her renovations will include new suites, expanded dining and lounge spaces, new VIP cabanas, updates to the casino and spa area, and a refreshed signature Mermaid.
“Since her much-anticipated debut in 2021, Scarlet Lady has sailed the world, welcoming hundreds of thousands of Sailors on-board while delivering irresistible vacations,” said Nicole Huang, VP of Fleet Experience. “We’re listening and giving travelers more of what they’ve asked for – this includes more suites, luxe new cabanas and fresh, vibey dining concepts – so Sailors can truly live the life of a rockstar.”
Let’s take a look at some of the “glow-up” coming to Scarlet Lady:
- The iconic Razzle Dazzle will offer its bowls and burgers by day and become Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle by night. The intimate space will offer a Chinese-inspired menu with craft cocktails and an elevated decor.
- Several Sea Terrace cabins on Deck 11 are being converted to 24 brand-new Seriously Suites. Seriously Suites is the most popular category among the suites and measures 352 square feet, offers a European king bed, a peek-a-book shower, and Virgin’s signature red hammock on the balcony.
- Grounds Club, Too will jumpstart a Sailors’ day with Intelligentsia Coffee and transform into a contemporary full-service bar by night complete with a lounge space and cocktails.
- Deck 16 will feature new premium bookable VIP Cabanas. Overlooking the Aquatic Club, Sailors will be able to soak in the sun either alone or with the whole crew when they connect the cabanas for group events.
Once her makeover is complete, Scarlet Lady will sail a 16-night transatlantic cruise from Rome to Miami. There she will begin sailing 6-night Western Caribbean and 8-night Eastern Caribbean escapes and visit ports such as St. Croix, Roatan, San Juan, and the Beach Club at Bimini.
