Princess Cruises is Returning to Japan

Princess Cruises has announced its return to Japan in 2024. 

“Japan has been a popular homeport and destination experience for Princess guests for many years and we’re thrilled to offer such a culturally-rich season of cruises in this region for the 2024 season,” said John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises.

Making her Japan debut in 2024, Royal Princess will be sailing to the area making her the first Royal-Class ship to do so. 

Royal Princess will sail a new Japan and North Pacific Crossing itinerary that will call on the northern Tohoku and Hokkaido regions during the cherry blossom season. There are options to explore the glaciers of Alaska or continue on to Vancouver, B.C. on this cruise that departs from Tokyo on April 27, 2024. 

Diamond Princess is returning to Japan and offering round trip voyages that depart from Tokyo. These sailings take place from March to August and make calls to 35 destinations in three countries and offer seven to 23 day adventures. She will make a series of four ten-day Spring Flowers voyages that will call on all four of Japan’s main islands. The itineraries follow the predicted blooming season as it moves from south to north. During the month of August, the Japan festival season reaches its peak. Guests have the opportunity to experience four different festivals with late-night stays in port.

Diamond Princess will aslo sail nine-day Southern Island voyages that visit ports in Okinawa and Taiwan. There are nine- and ten-day Sea of Japan cruises that call on ports along the Kitamaebune trading route or one could choose the popular ten-day Japan Explorer cruise that calls on iconic sites like Mount Fuji, Kyoto, and Hiroshima. 

Booking one of these 2024 Princess Cruises in Japan also features acces to nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Mount Fuji, Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto, Buddhist Monuments in the Horyu-ji Area, Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, and the Iriomote Island and Jomon Prehistoric Sites.
