Princess Cruises announced a series of three “Hollywood Insider” cruises to debut on California Coastal voyages in October 2023. The cruises will feature onboard celebrities that starred in shows from the 1980s, special effects professionals, and music performances.
“As the leading cruise line on the west coast and with our connection to Hollywood as the idyllic, co-starring backdrop on ‘The Love Boat,’ it’s a natural fit for us to introduce a series of cruises highlighting notable entertainment industry artists who have shaped television and film through the decades,” said Denise Saviss, vice president of entertainment experience, Princess Cruises.
The three “Hollywood Insider” voyages are 3-, 5-, and 7-day sailings aboard Crown Princess, Majestic Princess, and Discovery Princess respectively.
The 5-day Pacific Coastal “Hollywood Insider with 80s Primetime Stars” aboard Majestic Princess will set sail on October 3, 2023, from Vancouver to Los Angeles. Guests will enjoy meet & greets and speaker events with some of their favorite celebrities from the show Dallas.
Crown Princess will sail the 3-day “Hollywood Insider: Behind the Screen EFX” themed cruise from Seattle to Vancouver on October 16, 2023. This is the perfect cruise for those who love to go behind the scenes of their favorite shows and movies and meet the special effects professionals—the real magic makers. Guests will enjoy personal stories and specially-themed events from Michael Westmore and Tym Buchaarern, award-winning makeup artists from Star Trek and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Hairspray Live!, and Glee, and Johnnie Spence, special effects creator for Man of Steel, Spider-Man 3, Face Off and more.
The third cruise, “Hollywood Insider: Music Connection,” will be a 7-day cruise onboard Discovery Princess departing October 21, 2023. The itinerary will sail the Classic California Coast round trip from Los Angeles.
Music fans will not want to miss this cruise which features special vocal performances, meet & greets, speaker events and more from Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated songwriter Allan Dennis Rich, American singer and actress Freda Payne, and American musician and co-founder of the Beach Boys Al Jardine. Also featured will be American singer-songwriter Kimberly Locke and Leo Rossi, former Fleetwood Mac tour director and road crew member for bands like Led Zeppelin, The Who, Chaka Khan and more.
