Disney Cruise Line announced Disney Destiny’s stern characters have been mounted. The third Wish-Class ship, which is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, has been built with a heavy emphasis on Marvel throughout the ship and her stern characters are no exception
Marking the first time a Marvel character had been mounted on the stern of a Disney Cruise Line ship, Spider-Man and three Spider-Bots were lifted into place to complete the ship’s theme and reflect her personality. The artwork depicts the web-slinging Spider-Man sweeping across the hull of the ship and the Spider-Bots touching up the paint job. The Spider-Bots also have cruise accessories of a life perseverer, snorkel mask and sunglasses. Additionally, the gold filigree has a web-like design and sharp angles.
“The heroes and villains theme of the Disney Destiny provides the perfect platform for us to collaborate with Disney Cruise Line on all-new, Marvel-inspired experiences guests won’t find anywhere else on land or at sea across the multiverse,” said Brian Crosby, executive of Marvel Experiences Development.
Disney Destiny will sail her maiden voyage from Port Everglades on November 20, 2025. She will sail a 4-night Bahamian cruise and visit both of the cruise line’s private destinations–Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay. The vessel will then sail 4- and 5-night voyages to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean.
