Welcome to the weekly Cruise News Digest.
Let’s dive in!
This Monday, we explored Carnival Cruise Line’s Excel-Class ships–Mardi Gras (2021), Carnival Celebration (2022) and Carnival Jubilee (2023). Which have you been on?
When MSC Seascape begins sailing from Galveston, Texas in November, guests will get to experience ROBOTRON, the first and only robotic arm ride at sea. During the ride, guests will be suspended nearly 175 feet above the ocean in a three-seat gondola that flips and spins in all directions including upside down over the edge of the ship.
It’s summer and Norwegian Cruise Line is offering MORE deals on last-minute voyages. The cruise line is offering up to $1000 off all itineraries, a larger percentage off cruise fare for educators, veterans and active duty members as well as a “resident rate” of 20% off cruise fares for residents of specific states.
MSC Cruises is counting down to the debut of MSC World Asia by releasing more details about the new flagship. She will feature subtle touches reflecting the culture, art and landscapes of Asia, and showcase seven onboard districts. One of her most striking features is found at the heart of the ship, the World Promenade. The open-air space offers its own unique dining venues and entertainment alongside magnificent ocean views.
Carnival Cruise Line will launch a new rewards program in June 2026 called Carnival Rewards. The new program will feature a dual structure–Carnival Reward points and status qualifying stars. Points can be redeemed onboard and stars will unlock higher loyalty status. The change has made a lot of Carnival cruisers unhappy and it is certain this will not be the end of this conversation. You can hear Tony’s take on the rewards program on The Cruise Show.
Disney Cruise Line has revealed Disney Adventure will feature three new retail spaces when she sails from Singapore in December. The three new retail spaces will feature signature Disney and Disney Cruise Line merchandise, exclusive merchandise celebrating the region, and co-branded merchandise.
