MSC Cruises’ ROBOTRON to Debut in Texas

This November, guests sailing from Galveston, Texas will get to experience ROBOTRON, the first and only robotic arm ride at sea. The rollercoaster-like ride, which is only available aboard MSC Seascape, offers a unique ride with unmatched 360° views.

ROBOTRON is suspended nearly 175 feet above the ocean and takes its passengers on a thrilling ride synced to their favorite music. Guests are seated in a three-seat gondola that flips and spins in all directions including upside down over the edge of the ship’s deck.  Additionally, ROBOTRON is also customizable. Not only can guests choose their music, but they also can choose the visual effects, the lighting and the thrill level–from family-friendly to high-intensity.

Lynn Torrent, President, MSC Cruises North America, said: “ROBOTRON is a thrill ride like no other, and we know it’ll make waves in Texas. On board MSC Seascape, guests will find that ROBOTRON is a one-of-a-kind experience that combines cutting-edge technology with breathtaking ocean views. Texans love big adventures, and MSC Seascape delivers—with high-tech entertainment, immersive attractions and unforgettable Caribbean cruises.”

In addition to ROBOTRON, MSC Seascape also offers a VR 360° Flight Simulator, VR Motorcycles, MSC Formula Racer and an Immersive XD Cinema. The Flight Simulator offers the ultimate virtual experience through VR headsets and special effects. The VR Motorcycles transport passengers to a racetrack complete with wind and water effect. MSC Formula Racer will allow racing enthusiasts to be the driver in a racing simulation with realistic effects. Lastly, the XD Cinema is a 3D experience that transports players into a world of zombies, skeletons and more where they battle to be crowned the winner.

MSC Seascape will embark from the cruise line’s new state-of-the-art terminal at the Port of Galveston on November 9, 2025. She will sail 7-night Western Caribbean itineraries embarking every Sunday with ports of call in Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico and Isla de Roatan, Honduras.
