Seabourn announced the entire fleet has been equipped with SpaceX’s Starlink technology. Seabourn is the leader in ultra-luxury cruises and expedition travel which travels to every continent on the globe and visits more than 400 ports. Its guests can now enjoy faster and more reliable service where available.
Icon of the Seas has finally made it to PortMiami. After celebrating the crew on Monday at Perfect Day at CocoCay and the new Hideaway Beach, the ship spent the day at sea on Tuesday to sit through stormy weather in South Florida. She arrived in PortMiami on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, to an iconic welcome. She is now hosting a series of shakedown cruises before her inaugural cruise on January 27, 2024.
Princess Cruises’ Sun Princess is making an itinerary change ahead of her inaugural cruise. The call on Santorini, Greece has been canceled and replaced with a call on Crete due to scheduled maintenance on the Santorini Cable Car. With the town of Fira 700 feet above sea level and reachable only by cable car, by walking 500 steep steps up the Karavolades Stairs, or by donkey, calling on Santorini is nearly impossible while the cable car is being serviced.
MSC Cruises has announced it will be expanding its presence in the United States in 2025. MSC Seascape, one of the cruise line’s newest and most environmentally friendly vessels, will deploy from the Port of Galveston on November 9, 2025. She will sail 7-night Western Caribbean itineraries that call on Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico and Isla de Roatan in Honduras.
Disney Cruise Line has released details about its show that will premier on Disney Treasure when she debuts in December 2024. The spectacular show, “Disney: The Tale of Moana,” will feature massive puppets, new songs, sets that immerse the audience into the culture of the Pacific Islands, along with the familiar and favorite songs from the Grammy-Award winning soundtrack.
