Carnival Cruise Line’s newest exclusive destination, Celebration Key, is scheduled to open in less than a month and the cruise line is previewing what guests will experience when they visit.
Upon arrival at Celebration Key, guests will be greeted by the Sun Portal, a sun-shaped arch displaying the name of the destination, making it the perfect photo taking op. In the background of the Sun Portal is Paradise Plaza. Guests will find “wayfinding and destination information” helping them plan their day.
The centerpiece of Celebration Key’s five portals is the 10-story Suncastle featuring five gigantic decorative conch shells and two water slides. The water slides are over 350 feet long that weave in and around the Suncastle. Guests can challenge one another to a little competition as they race through flashes of color and light before splashing into the pool below.
Carnival shared an aerial view of the Calypso and Starfish Lagoons which, at 275,000 square feet, make up the biggest freshwater lagoon in the Caribbean. Calypso Lagoon is an adults-only venue featuring DJ island where guests can enjoy Bahamian favorites at Mingo’s Tropical Bar & Kitchen, music and the world’s largest swim up bar.
Starfish Lagoon is the perfect place for families to have fun in the sun. Families will enjoy the new AquaBanas. The 8-person floating cabanas offer seating around a table while guests relax under a canopy while dangling their feet in the water. The kiddos will have a blast at the coral-reef-themed Guppy Grotto SplashPad.
Celebration Key will also have Over-the-Lagoon Super Villas available for reservation. These villas accommodate 10 guests and provide sofa and armchair seating in the shade. Guests will also find locking cabinets, a dining table and chairs, a stocked minifridge, ceiling fans, hammocks, swing chairs, a water slide into the lagoon, and so much more. There are four Super Villas available–two in the Calypso Lagoon and two in the Starfish Lagoon.
Guests 18 and older can also make reservations for the Pearl Cove Beach Club. The exclusive retreat features an 11,000-square-foot private infinity pool with water loungers, a swim-up bar and a DJ. The pool is surrounded by pink-striped sun umbrellas, sun loungers and elegant daybeds. Just beyond the poo is a dedicated, private beach with sun loungers, beachside food and drinks. Pearl Cove Beach Club also has a full-service restaurant with indoor or outdoor seating.
Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy will host a ceremony officially welcoming Carnival Vista and the first guests to Celebration Key on July 19, 2025. The exclusive destination will welcome ten more Carnival ships before the end of July in what is expected to be the one of the cruise line’s busiest summer cruising seasons.
