Royal Caribbean Making Major Upgrades to Three Ships

Royal Caribbean will be upgrading three of its most popular ships in 2026–Ovation of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas. The ships will be “amplified” with expanded dining options, entertainment venues, accommodations, pubic spaces and things to do while sailing to favorite destinations throughout Alaska, Europe and the Caribbean. The changes are part of Royal Caribbean’s ongoing Royal Amplified program, which was first introduced in 2018.

“Royal Caribbean continues to raise the bar on delivering the best of every vacation with revolutionary ships and top-rated exclusive destinations. The Royal Amplified program gives our guests the best of Royal Caribbean with new-to-class culinary options and experiences, entertainment and thrilling adventures, paired with the hospitality and service Royal Caribbean is known for,” said Jay Schneider, chief product innovation officer, Royal Caribbean. “After seeing incredible success and guest satisfaction with the amplification of Allure of the Seas, we’re excited to bring three new amplifications to our fleet in 2026.”

Ovation of the Seas will receive a renovated pool deck complete with private casitas and a new whirlpool. New dining options will include Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, Izumi Teppanyaki and the Pesky Parrot tiki bar. There will be a new nightlife venue called Sound Cellar and the casino will be expanded. The ship will receive new suites, including the Ultimate Family Suite and Panoramic Suite. Beginning spring 2026, Ovation of the Seas will sail 7- to 13-night Alaskan itineraries, including multi-night Cruisetour adventures.

Upgrades to Harmony of the Seas will include a new Caribbean-inspired pool deck that will include The Lime & Coconut and a redesigned adults-only Solarium. New dining venues will include El Loco Fresh and the Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse. They will add the Ultimate Family Suite and expand the casino, making it the largest Casino Royale in the fleet. Harmony of the Seas will sail her summer season in Europe before calling Port Canaveral home for the winter. She will offer 5- and 7-night itineraries in the Caribbean that include Perfect Day at CocoCay and the all-inclusive Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, which opens December 2025.

Liberty of the Seas upgrades will also include a reimagined pool deck with private casitas and The Lime & Coconut, as well as a new Royal Escape Room concept. New dining options will include Izumi Teppanyaki, El Loco Fresh and a Starbucks. Liberty of the Seas will sail from Southampton in summer 2026, sailing 7-night itineraries to Northern Europe. She will then sail to Galveston, Texas, for winter 2026 and offer Western Caribbean itineraries that will include Royal Beach Club Cozumel, which is scheduled to open in 2026.
