Carnival Legend to Homeport from Port of Galveston

Carnival Cruise Line has announced Carnival Legend will join Carnival Dream, Carnival Breeze and Carnival Jubilee at the Port of Galveston in the fall of 2025. She will sail a variety of four- through 10-day Western Caribbean cruises along with two Panama Canal cruises.

Fred Stein, Carnival’s vice president of revenue planning and deployment, made this statement regarding Carnival Legend joining the fleet in Galveston, “Carnival Legend’s deployment in Galveston strengthens our already robust portfolio of sailings from Texas, adding more variety to the offered itineraries, as well as another ship choice, and more opportunities for cruises to Mexico and other Western Caribbean that fit any vacation length.”

Based on cruise arrivals, the Port of Galveston is the fourth busiest United States port. It is home to all of the major cruise lines and provides easy access to those in the southwest and Gulf Coast cities.

Beginning October 2025, Carnival Legend will alternate between shorter and longer voyages in the Western Caribbean. She will offer five-day sailings to one of Carnival’s most popular destinations, Cozumel, Mexico as well as Progreso, Mexico. Cozumel is also the destination on her four-day weekend getaways.

Carnival Legend will also offer 10-day sailings that include ports of call at Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Mahogany Bay, Roatan; Belize and Cozumel, Mexico. She will also sail an eight-day Christmas cruise departing on December 18, 2025 and visiting Mahogany Bay, Roatan; Belize and Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico.

Before homeporting in Galveston, Carnival Legend will sail a 16-day Carnival Journeys cruise departing from San Francisco on October 6, 2025. Ports of call will include Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and Puntarenas, Costa Rica before she transits the Panama Canal. After the transit, she will call on Cartagena, Colombia before arriving in Galveston.

She will sail a second Carnival Journeys roundtrip cruise departing from Galveston on February 2, 2026 with ports of call in Montego Bay, Jamaica; Aruba; Curacao; Cartagena, Colombia; Colon (Panama Canal), Panama; Limon, Costa Rica and Cozumel, Mexico.

Finally, Carnival Legend will offer three 10-day Panama Canal cruises departing October 27 and December 8, 2025, and March 16, 2026.
