Freedom of the Seas Cruises Not Canceled

Royal Caribbean International reached out to guests who had their cruise aboard Freedom of the Seas canceled to let them know it’s not canceled.

The sailings aboard Freedom of the Seas were canceled in July and at that time guests were given three options. They could book a specially selected cruise aboard Freedom of the Seas or Oasis of the Seas, an alternate cruise on any Royal Caribbean ship, or receive a full refund. Now guests have another option—return to the originally scheduled cruise and itinerary.

An email to previously scheduled guests read, “We recently communicated to you about the unfortunate cancellation of your upcoming 2024 sailing onboard Freedom of the Seas. This was due to a dry dock we had to schedule, but we’ve got some good news – we were able to adjust our scheduling and your previous sailing will be made available again!”

Guests were given options based on their previous choice in July. If guests chose one of the specially selected sailings or rebooked on any other Royal Caribbean International sailing they can return to the original Freedom of the Seas sailing in a comparable stateroom.

Guests who chose to cancel for a full refund, have the option to reinstate their original booking. Whatever choice is made, it must be made by October 3, 2023.

Royal Caribbean concluded the email by saying, “Thank you for understanding. Whether you choose to rejoin us on the Freedom of the Seas or on another cruise in the future, we have no doubt your time with us will be nothing short of amazing.”

But then again, what cruise isn’t amazing?
