Carnival Jubilee Promises Texas-Sized Entertainment

You know the cliche “Everything is bigger in Texas?” Apparently that also applies to deck parties aboard Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Jubilee.

Passengers aboard the Carnival’s newest cruise ship are going to experience a Texas-sized deck party on the ship’s Lido during each cruise. The Lone Star Tailgate will be celebrating the spirit of Texas and football. The deck party will be exclusive to Carnival Jubilee and–like a football game–divided into four quarters. The tailgate party will bring the “energy of a country fairground and rodeo” and promises fun for the entire family.

“The Lone Star Tailgate isn’t just a party – it’s a celebration of family, fun and fierce competition,” said Chris Nelson, vice president of entertainment for Carnival Cruise Line. “We have created Carnival University, a fictitious university in the heart of Texas. It’s the big game night and we are throwing a tailgate party for the whole family. The activities, from races and challenges to a party band celebrating Texas born musical artists, put a fresh take on our crowd-pleasing fun.”

Aboard Carnival Jubilee, whose hull proudly displays a Texas star, the entertainment also promises to be Texas themed. Music from Texas artists will play in areas throughout the ship, and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse and Brewhouse will feature the Backyard Band, a mixture of Texas tunes with party band music.

Also new to Carnival Jubilee is a new live show, “Dear Future Husband.” The interactive pop musical will follow a bride and groom on their wedding adventure with their best friends. Appropriately, the setting is aboard a cruise ship. The cast performs mega hits like “Marry You” by Bruno Mars, “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5 and “Man! I Feel like a Woman!” by Shania Twain throughout four acts. Once the show ends, the party begins. Guests become part of the wedding reception as they take part in the first dance, the garter toss, the toast to the new couple, and more, all while dancing the night away.

Carnival Jubilee still offers many popular entertainment options found aboard other Carnival ships. Guests can choose to play Family Feud Live or Deal or No Deal, enjoy stand-up comedy at Punchliner Comedy Club, relax at the Piano Bar while listening to a live entertainer play a baby grand piano, and so much more.

Carnival Jubilee is expected to arrive in Galveston this morning, Wednesday, December 20, 2023, and you can be sure there will be a Texas-sized welcome at the Port of Galveston. She will depart on her first sailing on December 23, 2023, on her first week-long Western Caribbean cruise visiting Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico, and Roatan Island in Honduras.
