Virgin Voyages is offering you the wedding of your dreams aboard one of their Lady ships beginning the spring of 2025.
Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin, kicked off the program when he performed three weddings across Virgin Voyages’ Celebration Voyages this month. The Celebration Voyages were sailing in celebration of Virgin’s greater than 50 year history.
The first ceremony was performed for Ben and Emma from the United Kingdom who were married at The Perch onboard Valiant Lady while overlooking Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The couple was on their third Virgin Voyages cruise when they exchanged their vows. Valiant Lady was sailing a 5-night Dominican Daze balayage from Miami with ports of call in Puerto Plata and Virgin’s private destination, Beach Club at Bimini.
Branson then traveled to the Altar in Amsterdam and presided over the wedding of Virgin Voyages’ crew members Alejandra and Matias. They were married at The Manor aboard Resilient Lady, the same ship at which they were engaged last May. Resilient Lady was sailing a 5-night roundtrip voyage from Portsmouth with her first port of call an overnight in Amsterdam.
Finally, Branson made his way to Spain where he performed a sunset wedding for Danny and Brittany on Scarlet Lady during her overnight call in Ibiza. Scarlet Lady was sailing a 7-night roundtrip French Daze & Ibiza Nights voyage from Barcelona with ports of call in Marseille, Cannes, Palma de Mallorca and the overnight call in Ibiza.
The Celebration Voyages also featured guests such as Boy George from Culture Club, Virgin executives, a cohort of astronauts from Virgin Galactic as well as immersive experiences, fitness classes, interactive workshops, daily happy hours, and more.
Virgin Voyages’ new “I Do” wedding packages will debut in April 2025, but will go on sale this fall. Couples who book a Virgin Voyages wedding can expect an all-inclusive experience that is tailored to their preferences before they begin their honeymoon onboard.
