On September 5, 2024, Carnival Spirit was sailing in Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska when her starboard side came in contact with a piece of drifting ice. Taking precautionary measures, the ship was halted and assessed for damage before continuing on her journey when no damage was found.
Yesterday, Carnival Spirit embarked from Seattle for the first of a series of Carnival Journeys voyages–three in total. She will arrive back in Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska, today, September 12, 2024. The 14-night journey will also visit Skagway, Juneau, Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier, Valdez, Seward, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria, British Columbia, Canada before returning to Seattle on September 24, 2024.
Carnival Spirit’s second Carnival Journeys voyage is a 15-night round trip voyage to the Hawaiian Islands and Canada. The 2001 Spirit-class ship includes nine days at sea and will call on Honolulu, Nawiliwili, Kahului, and Hilo, Hawaii as well as Victoria, British Columbia, Canada before returning to Seattle on October 9, 2024.
Carnival Spirit will embark from Seattle again on October 9, 2024 to sail a third Carnival Journeys voyage. The one-way 16-night Panama Canal cruise will sail to New Orleans via Central America. Ports of call include Cabo San Lucas and Puntarenas in Costa Rica before traversing the Panama Canal on October 20, 2024. She will then continue to Cartagena in Columbia before arriving in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 25, 2024.
Carnival Spirit will then homeport from New Orleans and sail six- and eight-night voyages to the Bahamas and in the Western Caribbean.
