Sun Princess Ready to Celebrate the “Holidays at Sea”

Princess Cruises’ newest ship, Sun Princess, is looking forward to her first-ever “holidays at sea.” From transforming her decks to the dazzling decor, Sun Princess is preparing to celebrate her inaugural holiday season. She will showcase immersive holiday shows, family activities and holiday traditions.

“Our team has created a lineup of magical holiday experiences you won’t find anywhere else,” said Becky Thomson Foley, Princess Head of Global Entertainment. “Whether you’re planning a memorable escape this year or looking ahead to the 2025 holiday season, immerse yourself in the holiday spirit, as at Princess, entertainment really does happen all around you.”

Each cruise between November 30 and January 3 will begin with an unforgettable Tree Lighting Celebration in the ship’s Piazza. Setting the mood for the holiday voyage, the breathtaking light show will feature a cast of singers and dancers, Stanley the Bear, and a guest will be selected to light the largest Christmas tree featured on a Princess ship. The magic will continue as jolly Old Saint Nick boards Sun Princess for stories, music and photos.

Featured holiday activities include the Princess World Orchestra playing seasonal classics in “A Jazz Era Holiday Tribute.” Guests will want to pack their favorite holiday sweaters for the “Holly Jolly Sweater Party.” The ship’s DJ will offer up a mix of holiday tunes for guests to dance the night away. Princess’ mascot, Stanley the Bear, will put on his elf suit and play a daily game of Hide and Seek for guests of all ages. There will be holiday trivia, holiday movies, a Dreidel Spin-Off, and holiday game shows.

Sun Princess will offer religious services for everyone. There will be a Hanukkah Candle Lighting and Service, Christmas Eve Protestant and Catholic services, and Interdenominational Christmas and Church services.

Of course, no holiday is complete without food and drinks and Sun Princess is offering an array of holiday meals. From the Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings to the Hanukkah latkes to the Christmas prime rib, the Princess team will prepare, set up, cook and clean in the main dining room, specialty restaurants and casual eateries. Additionally, the Princess mixologists will serve up all your favorite holiday cocktails and mocktails.

Lastly, there is no better place to Ring in the New Year than on The Love Boat. The Sun Princess Band will bring the night to life with music as you dance and prepare to toast and kiss at midnight.
