Seven Seas Grandeur Delivered to Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the luxury brand of Norwegian Cruise Line, has taken delivery of Seven Seas Grandeur from Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy. The Explorer-class ship, designed by the award-winning Studio DADO, has been under construction at the shipyard for almost two years. Her steel-cutting ceremony was November 18, 2021 and final outfitting was January 2023.

“We would like to thank Studio DADO and Fincantieri for their outstanding collaboration in realizing this incredible new vessel which truly builds on the ground-breaking traditions of Regent’s exceptional Explorer-class ships which came before. Seven Seas Grandeur’s inaugural season is all but sold out, which is testament to the burgeoning popularity of the unrivaled Regent experience and also reflective of the ship being the most anticipated launch of 2023,” said Harry Sommer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.

Seven Seas Grandeur is the third, and last,  Explorer-class ship built by Fincantieri for Regent Seven Seas. Captain Luciano Montesanto and his team will take her on her maiden voyage on November 18, 2023. She will embark from Venice, Italy and sail a 7-day cruise to Barcelona, Spain. Guests will enjoy large sweeping spaces, unparalleled service and beautiful art including two original lithographs by Pablo Picasso and “Journey in Jewels,” the first Fabergé Egg to permanently be on view at sea.

“The expectations of both our loyal past guests and those who are new to Regent will be exceeded by Seven Seas Grandeur’s refined style, matchless elegance, and breath-taking beauty. As the appetite for luxury travel continues to grow, the delivery of Seven Seas Grandeur provides even more opportunities to cruise the world while enjoying the highest standards of hospitality in lavish and spacious surroundings,” said Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Seven Seas Grandeur inaugural voyage will take her on a 14-day transatlantic cruise from Barcelona to Miami on November 25, 2023. She will be christened at PortMiami on December 10, 2023. The great-granddaughter of artist Peter Carl Fabergé, Sarah Fabergé, will serve as godmother to the vessel at the naming ceremony. Seven Seas Grandeur will then homeport from PortMiami for the winter and sail a series of 7- to 16-night itineraries which will include several Panama Canal transits.
