Princess Cruises has revealed a glimpse at the spaces aboard Sun Princess, – “The Love Boat” line’s newest, largest and most innovative ship ever built. Looking to debut in early 2024, Princess Cruises is aiming for an extraordinary experience for its guests with its new and signature spaces.
“With the construction of any new ship, we have the incredible opportunity to design standout spaces with our guests’ preferences in mind,” said John Padgett. “With the new platform and size of Sun Princess, we’re uniquely able to refresh venues we know our guests love and expand upon, redesign and elevate them to the next level. We know our sun-inspired designs will exceed expectations and elevate the entire Princess experience.”
The Horizons Dining Room is a first for Princess. It is a magnificent three-story dining venue. The space is open and flexible with dining options for everyone. It has stunning wake views and natural lighting intended to draw the eye to the sculpture that spans deck 6 to deck 8. Each deck of the Horizons Dining Room will have its own dining experience and level of formality.
The Princess Arena is a contemporary and versatile space that is the most technologically advanced design of any Princess theater. Above center stage is a stunning visual that can be incorporated into the show. The Arena has an in-the-round design that features soft curved walls that give the allusion of the moving tide. The space can seat more than 1,000 guests and the seats can be configured three different ways in order to maximize sight lines for each experience.
Additional spaces include signature favorites such as Alfredo’s Pizzeria which offers an experience comparable to one when traveling to Italy. Crown Grill will offer an unforgettable steak and so if experience where one can enjoy the largest show galley at sea. Offering a casual yet elegant dining experience, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria will allow families to enjoy handmade pasta dishes prepared daily. When it comes to entertainment, the Princess Live! will include participant friendly games shows, trivia and the daily Wake Show.
If you’re looking for shopping, The Shops of Princess include five retail locations and an art gallery. The Shops of Princess are getting a makeover. Guests can expect the same great experience, just more of it.
The Princess Casino will be the largest for Princess Cruises in both size and number of gaming positions. The casino can be found in the Piazza and houses over 200 of the newest, most popular slots and video poker games. There will be something for everyone.
Additional redesigned spaces include Crooner’s, Wheelhouse Bar, International Cafe, Good Spirits and Gelateria.
The Sun Princess, which will accommodate 4,000 guests, is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, is the largest Princess ship to date, and is the first Princess ship powered by Liquified Natural Gas, the world’s cleanest fossil fuel.
