Princess Cruises has announced a significant enhancement to its dining options across its fleet. Beginning September 14, 2024, the cruise line will begin offering flexible dining choices.
Princess Cruises will begin offering three table service options in its Main Dining Rooms: Traditional, Reservable, or Walk-in Anytime. The cruise line will designate separate dining rooms on each ship–one dedicated to traditional dining, one dedicated to reservable dining times, and one dedicated to anytime seating for walk-ins. Coupled with Princess Cruises’ exclusive OceanNow, which offers guests the convenience of ordering anything, anytime and receiving it anywhere on the ship, Princess can now accommodate all guest dining choices.
These flexible dining options were successfully presented and implemented aboard Sun Princess when she debuted with a three-story Main Dining Room. One floor was floor dedicated to traditional dining, another floor to flexible reservations, and the last floor to anytime walk-ins.
“Our guests have been delighted with the dining flexibility aboard Sun Princess and we’re pleased to extend the concept to all the other ships in our fleet,” said Sami Kohen, Princess Cruises vice president of food and beverage. “Now whether guests prefer an early seating every evening, or change things up every night, or even change their mind, these flexible dining options ensure that their dining preference is effortlessly accommodated.”
To implement the change and transition to flexible dining, all main dining room reservations for voyages sailing September 14, 2024 and beyond–except Sun Princess–will be canceled. Beginning June 17, 2024, booked guests will be able to use the Princess Cruises app and select their preferred dining option. Tradition seating with the same waiter, same table and same time each night or one of the other two flexible dining choices.
No specialty dining restaurant reservations are affected. Neither are suite or reserve collection cabins with dedicated dining rooms and no need for reservations. Cruises booked through September 13, 2024 are also unaffected.
