Norwegian Encore Receiving Enhancements

Norwegian Cruise Line announced Norwegian Encore will receive extensive updates when she undergoes a two-week dry dock later this year. Updates include a new adult-only area, expanded dining venues, redesigned suites and new balcony staterooms.

“Our guests’ wants and needs are at the forefront of every decision that we make, and enhancing Norwegian Encore with more of the experiences they value showcases our commitment to just that,” said David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line. “From more space for adults to relax, to more opportunities to enjoy their favorite dining options and beyond, we are dedicated to providing our guests with an elevated onboard experience as part of their dream vacation.”

Responding to a growing demand for three-bedroom suites on other ships in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet, Norwegian Encore’s two Premier Owner’s Suites in The Haven by Norwegian are being expanded to three bedrooms. The suites will also have the master bedroom and living room revamped, and new outdoor balcony furniture. Additionally, they will include three and a half baths and a separate dining room. The Haven by Norwegian is the company’s exclusive ship-within-a-ship, keycard access only complex. A portion of Norwegian Encore’s Observation Lounge will also be repurposed so she can launch from her dry dock with 24 new balcony staterooms and two club balcony staterooms.

Two of the cruise line’s most popular specialty dining venues will also be expanded–Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki. Cagney’s Steakhouse, recent winner of the 2024 Wine Spectator Award for Excellence; and the hibachi-style Teppanyaki are increasing their capacity by taking over Los Lobos on deck eight and Coco’s on deck six, respectively. Palomar, an elevated Mediterranean seafood venue, will be replacing Ocean Blue as well.

Lastly, Norwegian Encore will emerge from her dry dock with a new adults-only complimentary outdoor venue–Spice H2O. The area, designed by Studio Dado, will be tucked away from the main pool deck and feature multiple hot tubs, eight large daybeds surrounded by cooling pools, and a large bar. The perfect relaxing escape for those 18 years of age and older.

After her dry dock, Norwegian Encore will sail a 12-day transatlantic repositioning voyage from Southampton to Miami. From PortMiami she will sail seven-day round trip Caribbean itineraries with ports of call at Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, the cruise line’s private island in the Bahamas.
