Margaritaville at Sea, in partnership with GOVX, launched a “Heroes Sail Free” program in 2022. Just ahead of Heroes Month in May 2025, the cruise line has announced a new wave of exclusive offers and programming for the program.
The “Heroes Sail Free” program was created to show appreciation for active duty and former military, first responders, medical professionals, government workers, and educators. Since 2022, the program has welcomed more than 100,000 Heroes aboard its ships.
This exclusive offer includes an ultra-exclusive release of free cabins for two on 7-night Caribbean sailings, fundraising with special partners, dedicated onboard tributes and community-building programs.

Margaritaville at Sea released a limited number of cabins for Heroes and a guest on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, to sail a 7-night Caribbean itineraries this fall. Destinations include Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Belize and more.
Margaritaville at Sea is also introducing a dedicated Drink of the Month in May. The Above & Beyond is made with US-based spirit partners including Tito’s Vodka, Blended Family Peach, White Cranberry, Lemon Juice, Soda and a floater of Blended Family Raspberry in the cruise line’s signature Blender cup. For each drink sold, $1 will be donated to Hire Heroes USA which partners US military members, veterans and their spouses with Transition Specialists who equip them with the needed tools to be successful in the civilian workplace. The specialists have helped more than 100,000 individuals by coaching, reviewing resumes and personalized training.
The “Salute to Heroes” event, which is currently on Islander, will be expanded to Paradise beginning May 2, 2025. The event includes a special toast honoring and acknowledging specific groups of workers. Teacher Appreciation week is May 5-9, Nurses Appreciation Week & International Nurses Day is May 6-12, and Memorial Day is May 26, 2025.
