Love by Britto Opened on Sun Princess

Princess Cruises has officially opened a new dining venue, Love by Britto, on the Sun Princess. Love by Britto is a creative collaboration between Brazilian artist Romero Britto and the cruise line’s Head of Culinary Arts, Chef Rudi Sodamin. Together, Britto and Sodamin have created “a feast for both the eyes and the palate” that consists of a seven-course dinner in a romantic venue.

Love by Britto is located on deck 17 and features its namesake’s familiar artwork. The ambience of the 68-seat venue is designed to “immerse couples in a world of vivid colors, bold patterns, and heartfelt emotions” complete with magnificent ocean views.

“The art of Romero Britto makes people happy with his unique expression of the universal language of love and his creative inspiration blends with my culinary passion to deliver a high-end, meticulously curated menu that guests full of memories overflowing with love was a transformative experience,” said Rudi Sodamin. “We’re both proud to see Love by Britto come to life with Sun Princess guests celebrating this exclusive dining event, showcasing the harmony between food, art and love.”

Guests who choose to dine at Love by Britto will begin their seven-course dinner with appetizers like Oysters with Lemongrass Kafir, Mirin and Gold Flakes. Heart-shaped entrees include Tuna & Avocado, Pomegranate, Togarashi; Cappuccino of Wild Mushroom soup; Salad of Beets, Figs and Goat Cheese; Granita of Pink Champagne and Rose Petals; Tail of Lobster Thermidor; and Succulent Beef Tenderloin and Truffle Jus. Desserts presented In a manner fitting of “The Love Boat” include a heart-shaped Chocolate Lava Cake, Fresh Berries & Raspberry Cream, and Petit Fours. Even the table service features Britto’s artwork and includes heart-shaped napkins and silverware with heart-shaped cutouts.

There are seven love-themed cocktails that have been crafted to complement the menu such as Strawberry Love Potion crafted from Tequila Rose, Disaronno Amaretto, Chambord, and Strawberries; Expresso My Love made from Jameson, OM Chocolate Liqueur, Disaronno Amaretto, Demerara, Chocolate Bitters, and Espresso; and Britto Coupe made with Grey Goose Strawberry and Lemongrass, Aperol, Cointreau, Lime, and Strawberries. An extensive wine list is also available.

Guests who wish to dine at Love by Britto will pay $79 per person and can book pre-cruise in the Princess app.
