Welcome to the our Island Hopping Recap!

We did feature Carnival Paradise for Cruise Ship Monday and island hopping started on Tuesday. Did you hop along?

Great Stirrup Cay, which is owned and operated by Norwegian Cruise Line, is located on the northern end of the Berry Islands in The Bahamas. Cruise ships that visit Great Stirrup Cay include Norwegian Breakaway, Encore, Epic, Escape, Gem, Jade, Jewel, Joy, Pearl, Prima, Sky, Sun and Viva

Princess Cays is a private resort owned by Carnival Corporation and operated by Princess Cruises. It is on the southern tip of Eleuthera Island in The Bahamas. Cruise ships that visit Princess Cays include Princess Cruises’ Enchanted Princess, Sky Princess, and Sun Princess, as well as Carnival’s Conquest, Glory, Pride, Freedom, Sunrise, Elation, Vista and Magic.

Norwegian also owns Harvest Caye in southern Belize. The 75-acre island features a 15,000 square foot pool, a salt water lagoon and a 7-acre beach. Cruise ships that visit Harvest Caye include Norwegian Bliss, Breakaway, Epic, Escape, Gem, Getaway, Jade, Jewel, Joy, Pearl, Prima and Viva

Next let’s hop on over to the newly renamed and rebranded RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. Both Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America call on the exclusive island in The Bahamas. Guests will love the beautiful crescent-shaped beach that is just a short walk from the Welcome Center. Many changes are coming to the island in 2026 which include a pier giving access to the island from an Excel-class ship for the first time. Cruise ships that visit RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay include Carnival’s Celebration, Conquest, Elation, Freedom, Glory, Paradise, Sunrise and Vista as well as Holland America’s Rotterdam, Nieuw Statendam, Koningsdam, Oosterdam, Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Westerdam, and Zuiderdam. 

Our final stop this week was at Labadee, Haiti. This peninsula is located on the northern coast of Haiti and is leased to Royal Caribbean from the Haitian government until 2050. The private resort has 4 beaches perfect for swimming and watersports, a roller coaster, a water park, shopping and one of the longest zip-lines over water in the world. Cruise ships that visit Labadee, Haiti are Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, Symphony of the Seas, Voyager of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas, and Grandeur of the Seas.
