Welcome to Princess Cays, a private resort owned by Carnival Corporation but mainly operated by Princess Cruises. Ships from both Princess Cruises and Carnival Cruise Line call on the exclusive resort as part of their Bahamas cruise voyages.
The 40 acre tender island is located about 70 miles from Nassau on the southern tip of Eleuthera Island in The Bahamas. The Island of Eleuthera is about 100 miles long and two miles wide making it the eighth largest island in The Bahamas. It features over 1.5 miles of white-sandy beaches on its shoreline and is preserved as a natural paradise.
There are three beach areas–Main Shore, Little Bay and the adults only Sanctuary–with more than 3,000 beach chairs. Guests can take part in a variety of activities such as fishing, snorkeling, volleyball, kayaking, banana boat rides or just relax in a beach clamshell, cabana or air-conditioned bungalow. Children will enjoy the Pelican’s Perch play area, and parents will enjoy that it is supervised. Guests can enjoy music and entertainment like the Junkanoo beach party featuring authentic Bahamian music, costumes and dancing.
Princess Cays has its own Craft Market, which sells handmade Bahamian items. The Princess Tropical Treasures Boutique offers island/beachwear. Other shops, which are run by the locals, offer souvenirs, shirts, hats, and more.
Guests can take a guided bus tour of the island, rent a dune buggy for an adventure, or explore the island through established walking trails. Guests may prefer a bike ride around the island or kayaking around a lagoon. Guests can interact with Southern stingrays and enjoy a “fun show-and-tell” while learning about other Bahamian marine life.
The full buffet and BBQ at Grill Crazy and the Sea Breeze Grill are included in your cruise fare while at Princess Cays. Guests can enjoy cocktails, coolers and other drinks at one of Princess Cays’ cozy bars–Coconut Cove Bar, Tropical Tides Bar or Banana Beach Bar.
There is no shortage of fun at Princess Cays; just be sure to book ahead when needed.
Cruise ships that visit Princess Cays include Princess Cruises’ Enchanted Princess, Sky Princess, and Sun Princess, as well as Carnival’s Conquest, Glory, Pride, Freedom, Sunrise, Elation, Vista, and Magic.
