Holland America Line Opens Bookings for 2026-27 Panama Canal and Hawaii Cruise Season

Holland America Line has opened booking for its 2026-2027 Panama Canal and Hawaii cruise season. Six ships will sail 14- to 28-day itineraries from five different North American homeports. Guests will visit tropical destinations, UNESCO World Heritage sites and can even have Thanksgiving dinner in Honolulu.

Guests whose bucket list includes transiting the Panama Canal will have twelve voyages from which to choose. Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam and Zuiderdam will sail 14- to 21-day itineraries that will embark or disembark in Vancouver, Seattle, San Diego, Miami or Fort Lauderdale. One sailing aboard Nieuw Amsterdam, the 21-Day Panama Canal voyage from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale, will visit 11 ports in 8 countries, visit multiple UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and call on RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. Additionally, select Panama Canal itineraries will visit the nearly 500 year old port in Acapulco, Mexico for the first time in 15 years.

“It’s easy to understand why the Panama Canal — one of the engineering wonders of the modern world — is on the top of so many of our guests’ bucket lists,” said Paul Grigsby, vice president of deployment, revenue planning and analytics for Holland America Line. “Each cruise will transit the historic canal, giving guests a front row seat to the fascinating operation of locomotives that guide the ships through the locks. And not only will these itineraries allow guests to not only experience a once-in-a-lifetime transit of the canal, but they also include exciting ports of call in both North and Latin America.”

Guests whose bucket list includes a beach in Hawaii will have six voyages from which to choose. The 17- to 18-day cruises will sail aboard Koningsdam, Noordam and Zaandam and embark or disembark in Vancouver, Seattle, or San Diego. The ships will include onboard activities like hula dancing and ukulele lessons immersing guests further into their destinations. One sailing to Hawaii will even allow guests to start a new tradition of Thanksgiving in Honolulu.

“Sailing with Holland America for the holidays provides a delightful and stress-free way to celebrate. We take pride in transforming our ships into a home-away-from-home during this festive season,” said Michael Stendebach, vice president of food, beverage, and room division for Holland America Line. “Our unique onboard experiences, coupled with visits to extraordinary destinations like Hawaii, are sure to create cherished holiday memories for years to come.”

Guests who would like to experience a “fire and ice” voyage, can book a 27- or 28-Day Legendary Glaciers & Volcanos: Alaska to Hawaii sailing aboard Noordam. The voyage sails in September 2026 and guests can choose to sail roundtrip from Seattle or Vancouver to Seattle. The voyage will take guests to six ports in Alaska and British Columbia before sailing to four ports in Hawaii, which includes an overnight call in Honolulu.
