In a press release, Carnival Corporation announced that on July 11, 2023, Holland America Line had its biggest booking day in its 150-year history. Bookings not only broke the cruise line’s single-day booking record but also marked the highest ever revenue booking day.
The majority of the sailings were for 2024 and 2025 indicating that travelers are making vacation plans in advance and are excited to travel.
The bookings show a significant interest in Alaska, Europe, and the Caribbean as well as its new longer Legendary voyages. Bookings also included world-wide destinations in places like Australia, South America, Asia and the South Pacific.
President of Holland America Line, Gus Antorcha, stated, “We see a record booking day like this as encouraging for the whole industry, but for Holland America Line, it’s an endorsement of the quality of cruising product we’re able to offer to our guests. People are planning their vacations for next year and even into 2025, and in the process, they’re choosing the best service at sea and the unforgettable destinations that we offer.”
While the cruise line has not specified the actual record-breaking number or which itineraries were booked, Holland America Line has much from which to choose.
The cruise line is a leader in Alaska offering visits to Glacier Bay. The cruise line also offers “Alaska Up Close.” During one of these unforgettable cruises, guests are immersed in the culture of the area through onboard activities and programming along with amazing excursions.
The cruise line offers 7-day sailings in the Caribbean as well as longer sailings so guests can visit more islands in the same voyage. Holland America Line in Europe offers diverse cruises to places like Greenland and Iceland to Turkey and Greece. Guests can choose from seven-day itineraries to longer voyages that visit multiple regions.
If you’re interested in Northern Europe and the British Isles, two Pinnacle class ships are homeporting in Rotterdam, the Netherlands to offer those itineraries. Asia is an option for the 2024-25 season and the cruise line is offering longer itineraries in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
