One of the most popular options on cruise ships is its casino. Many cruise ships contain some form of a gaming space while some ships focus heavily on at-sea gambling.
Holland America Line is one cruise line that offers casinos on all of its ships and features exciting slots machines, video poker, and roulette, craps and poker tables. To further emphasize its focus on gambling, Holland America Line is expanding its gaming space on five of its cruise ships.
In addition to the current more traditional slots, progressive jackpots and video poker machines on board Holland America Line’s Pinnacle and Signature Class ships, they are expanding to offer more than 140 of the newest and most popular slot and video poker machines in the gaming industry.
This expanded casino space allows guests aboard the Rotterdam, Nieuw Statendam, Koningsdam, Eurodam, and Nieuw Amsterdam an opportunity to participate in on demand slot tournaments with the potential to win big prizes.
“Casino play is a key part of their Holland America Line cruise vacation for many of our guests, and we were able to take advantage of some extra space on our Pinnacle Class ships to add more gaming machines,” said Daniel Materassi, senior vice president, Guest Commerce and Performance Analytics, Holland America Line. “The slots we’ve added are some of the newest in the industry, bringing exciting gameplay to our guests alongside the popular classic machines.”
A new casino system permits guests to wager on slots using a cashless system and quickly see points earned, and easily redeem promotions and offers. The new system also allows participation in slot tournaments, prize drawing and floor-wide bonuses. Based on casino play, guests can receive future cruise offers, discounts and drinks while playing.
Holland America Line is also adding a separate non-smoking area on board Rotterdam, Nieuw Statendam and Koningsdam.
