Disney Treasure Testing New Ship Horn Tunes

Since October 29, 2024, Disney Treasure has been making her way across the Atlantic Ocean from Eemshaven, Netherlands to her new home in Port Canaveral, Florida. She will officially enter service on December 21, 2024, and the onboard team has been getting her ship horn ready for adventure.

The team has been testing seven different Disney tunes for the Triton-class vessel’s ship horn to play as she travels. Some songs were chosen to complement the storytelling found aboard Disney Treasure, while others were chosen to complement the ship’s sense of adventure. Disney Cruise Line has released three of the songs which were tested: “Grim Grinning Ghosts,” “Remember Me,” and “A Whole New World.”

“Grim Grinning Ghosts” pays homage to the adults-only Haunted Mansion Parlor. The venue will serve “deliciously chilling drinks” and house its very own ghostly residents. It will remind Disney fans of the original Haunted Mansion with a nautical twist.

“Remember Me” from Coco was a nod to Plaza de Coco, the ship’s theatrical dining experience. Guests will experience dishes from the Rivera family’s kitchen as they enjoy the theater-in-the-round entertainment. There are two different nights of story-telling of Miguel and his family.

Last was “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, the film that inspired the ship’s Grand Hall. Not only will guests find the spirit of adventure in the Grand Hall, it will also feature statues and decor to represent Agrabah and the classic tale of Aladdin.

Disney Cruise Line is keeping the other four tunes, which includes a special holiday tune, under wraps until the ship’s maiden voyage which will take place over Christmas. Disney Treasure will sail a roundtrip 7-night Eastern Caribbean from Port Canaveral when she debuts on December 21, 2024. Her inaugural voyage will include ports of call in the UK Virgin Islands, the US Virgin Islands and the cruise line’s private island, Disney Castaway Cay, before returning to Port Canaveral.
