Disney Cruise Line Reveals Some Villainous Details

Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Destiny is currently in her final stages of construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. When she sets sail from Port Everglades, Florida, in November 2025, the 4,000-guest heroes-and-villains themed vessel will celebrate “Disney villains, schemers and scoundrels in a fiendishly fun way.”

The cruise line is revealing information about the new ship and its villainous experiences. As guests enter the Grand Hall, they will immediately be whisked away into the world of heroes and villains. The space which is inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” exudes a “hero’s welcome”–most of the time. The area has 360-degree lighting effects which change and react to the presence of the characters in the Hall. For example, one never knows when the popular villain Loki will show up to declare himself ruler or recruit a guest for a surprise competition.

Guests will also not only enjoy the over-the-top piano lounge inspired by Cruella de Vil, but they can also expect to see the villain herself. Watch out because she will be looking to recruit guests for a musical tribute to herself, of course. Additionally, guests can put their personal style on display for Cruella to critique at her wretched runway show–and she’ll be “dreadfully honest” with her live commentary.

Guests may find the sinister Dr. Facilier from The Princess & The Frog lurking around the Grand Hall performing a parlor trick or two. Or they may find Maleficent at the Saga Entertainment Lounge as she performs her powerful magic. Get up close if you dare.

Disney Destiny will sail her maiden voyage from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on November 20, 2025. The sailing will be a 4-night Bahamian voyage and will call on Lighthouse Point and Castaway Cay. She will then begin sailing 4- and 5-night Western Caribbean and Bahamas voyages.
