Port Canaveral threw “The World’s Biggest Wave Out Party” when Utopia of the Seas embarked on her official maiden voyage. Her official first voyage was a 3-day weekend voyage with her second voyage being a 4-night weekday voyage. La Lido Loca’s Tony embarked on both sailings. Carnival Cruise Line announced a change to its loyalty drink perk and renamed it the “Welcome Aboard–Welcome Home” drink. Gold, Platinum and Diamond Loyalty cruisers will now find the perk easier to use from the moment they arrive on their ship. The Welcome Aboard–Welcome Home drink for VIFP members is currently effective on Carnival’s fleet of ships.
Also in Carnival Cruise Line news, Carnival Corporation announced an order for three new mega ships to join the fleet. The new class of ships will be delivered in the summers of 2029, 2031 and 2033. The ships will be the largest in the Carnival Corporation fleet of ships with more than 3,000 staterooms for its almost 8,000 cruisers when at capacity.
MSC Cruises has revealed more details about one of the seven districts aboard MSC World America–The Harbour. Families will find The Harbour in the heart of the Family Aventura district. The Harbour–an outdoor park–will be located on the ship’s open top deck and feature amazing views of the ocean, live music, complimentary grab-and-go food options, and family-friendly attractions.
Virgin Voyages wants you to celebrate Christmas in July by booking one of its Holiday Edition 2024 sailings to the Caribbean. Valiant Lady, Scarlet Lady and Resilient Lady will all sail the Caribbean during the month of December. Sailors will enjoy holiday themed trivia, speciality meals and cocktails, and holiday parties.
Princess Cruises and Hollywood’s Magic Castle are offering the second Conjurer’s Cruise aboard the cruise line’s newest ship, Sun Princess. The 7-night themed cruise, which will sail roundtrip from Port Everglades on November 9, 2024, will allow guests to enhance their onboard experience by purchasing one of three themed packages.
