MSC Cruises is on the final countdown to welcome its new flagship–MSC World America. When she debuts, she will showcase new venues, new entertainment, new dining concepts and seven districts for guests to choose from.
Orlando Bloom, who starred alongside Drew Barrymore in the cruise line’s Super Bowl commercial and the ongoing “Let’s Holiday” ad campaign, is excited to welcome the ship and its unique blend of European style and American comfort.
Bloom said, “MSC World America has something for everyone, whether you are into thrilling rides, world-class dining, or immersive entertainment. It’s an incredible way to travel, and it makes it easy and accessible for people to explore new places and create unforgettable memories. I’ve always thought the best kind of holiday combines adventure, discovery, and comfort, which is exactly what you get with MSC World America. Imagine soaring over the ocean on the Cliffhanger swing ride, dining at the only Eataly restaurant at sea, or enjoying ‘Dirty Dancing in Concert.’ Every moment is unforgettable.”
Bloom has six experiences he is most looking forward to when he boards MSC World America: Cliffhanger, The Harbour, Dirty Dancing in Concert, Eataly at Sea, LEGO experiences, and new bar and lounge concepts.
The “ultimate attraction for thrill seekers,” Cliffhanger, is at the top of Bloom’s list. The over-water swing is in the heart of Family Aventura district and swings four people at a time 160 feet above the ocean.
Also in the Family Aventura district is The Harbour. The father of two says it is the perfect spot for families from morning to night. The Harbour features an aquapark, 11-story dry slide, ropes course, thematic playgrounds, shaded rest area and a quick but delicious dining venue.
Guests wanting world-class entertainment will not want to miss “Dirty Dancing in Concert.” The 90-minute concert will combine live music and dancing with the iconic film. The entire experience will end with guests dancing in the aisles and singing along before the Dirty Dancing-themed after party.
MSC World America will house the only Eataly at Sea. The menu will feature Italian dishes exclusive to MSC World America. Eataly’s open kitchen will allow guests to watch their food made right before their eyes.
All ages of LEGO fans will want to watch the first LEGO parade at sea. The LEGO characters will parade from the Family Aventura district to the World Promenade. Brick enthusiasts of all ages will find a brand-new area within the Family Aventura district–Sportplex–where they can “unleash their creativity.” Additionally, families will want to compete in the LEGO Game Show in the Luna Park arena.
MSC World America will feature 18 bars and lounges including The Loft, an adults-only venue in the Terraces district. The venue will feature dueling pianos, comedy shows and karaoke. In the All-Star Sport Bar, guests can take part in interactive darts, digital shuffleboard and foosball, or they can simply relax and enjoy the ocean view.
On April 9, 2025, Bloom will be alongside Barrymore, the ship’s godmother, when MSC World America is named at the cruise line’s new PortMiami terminal. After her 3-night introductory cruise, MSC World America will sail alternating 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, all of which will visit Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the cruise line’s private island in The Bahamas.
