When Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Xcel debuts in late 2025, she will offer guests The Bazaar–a brand new “multi-level, multi-sensory space” that brings local experiences aboard the newest Edge-class ship. The three-story space, which is unlike anything else at sea, will transform daily to fuse port and on board experiences allowing guests to extend “on shore” time in an unusual way.
“The Bazaar is a truly one-of-a-kind space designed to seamlessly blend ship and shore and transform the way guests experience destinations,” shares Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. “Celebrity Xcel intentionally extends the destination experience onboard through a continued authentic offering between ports of call, allowing guests to take the destination with them.”
The Bazaar will showcase festivals reflective of the ship’s destination. When Celebrity Xcel debuts in November 2025, The Bazaar will offer the arts, culture and cuisine of the Caribbean. When she repositions to Europe in 2026, The Bazaar will feature the festivals, foods and experiences of the Mediterranean.
On sea days, Market at The Bazaar will reflect one of the four festival themes depending on the destination. Local artisans will showcase their specific tradition, craft or skill. For example, guests may find an authentic Caribbean mask shop, Mexican leather hats, embroidery stations or live basket weaving demonstrations. Foodies will want to check out the rum and chocolate pairings or local hot sauce tastings.
The dining options will change to the local cuisine with the destination as well. Mosaic is an open kitchen concept which will serve “reimagined and elevated dishes.” Not only will guests want to participate in the destination inspired hands-on cooking lessons at Chef’s Studio at Mosaic, but guests will also want to enjoy an industry-first Chef’s Table Experience at Mosaic. The experience will feature a multi-course menu curated by Celebrity Cruises’ culinary team and perfectly paired with the cruise line’s award-winning selection of wines.
Celebrity Xcel will showcase a new casual dining venue, Spice. The daytime space is a cafe-style venue serving items native to the ports visited. Guests will really enjoy the floor-to-ceiling windowed seating area and its breathtaking views.
During her inaugural season from Fort Lauderdale, Celebrity Xcel will offer 7-night itineraries which alternate between the Bahamas, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. In Summer 2026, she will sail her inaugural season in Europe and the Mediterranean offering 7- to 11-night sailings out of Barcelona and Athens.
