Carnival Cruise Line Serving Up Largest Thanksgiving Feast

Thanksgiving is just a day away and the Carnival Cruise Line chefs are getting ready to serve up the largest-ever Thanksgiving Feast in the cruise line’s 51-year history.

Guests who have chosen to sail over the Thanksgiving holiday will be able to enjoy a meal that rivals the one they would have at home. Chefs across the fleet are expecting to serve more than 48,000 pounds of turkey, a 14% increase over last year’s holiday. Vegan? Carnival Cruise Line’s chefs are preparing a special menu with an all-plant-based protein for the first time this year.

With cruising during the holiday season being so popular, twenty-three Carnival ships will be celebrating Thanksgiving from Papua-New Guinea to New Zealand, from the west to the east coast of the United States, and in the Bahamas and Caribbean. Including guests and crew, more than 110,000 Thanksgiving meals will be served.

The main course will include 48,000 pounds of turkey, more than 600 gallons of turkey gravy, and over 6,600 pounds of turkey stuffing. Whether you love it or hate it, there will also be more than 2,200 pounds of cranberry sauce. Additionally, more than 20,900 pieces of pumpkin pie and 24,800 pieces of pecan pie will be available for the guest with a sweet tooth.

This feast and the following Thanksgiving-themed festivities will only be available to guests on a cruise ship on Thanksgiving Day.
