Carnival Cruise Line Reveals New Zones Onboard Jubilee

When Carnival Jubilee debuts later this year she will include two immersive ocean-themed experiences in two new zones, Currents and The Shores.

Currents is an “awe-inspiring, immersive and transformative space” that will span Decks 6 and 7. Using innovative technology, Currents will transport guests below the ocean waves and offer a new bar and new dining venues along with live music. The beautiful space will change from day to night throughout the cruise while the six LED windows and massive wave-shaped LED ceiling utilizing theatrical show lighting and sound design will create immersive environments for guests to enjoy.

Guests will find the following venues within Currents:

Inks, Ph.D—a fun bar inspired by the “cleverest of sea creatures who spends her time philosophizing about life underwater while enjoying a tasty libation.”

The Golden Mermaid—a lounge that is home to “a mysterious golden mermaid who swims to the depths of the oceans to find long-lost treasures of ancient civilizations and uncovers secret cocktail recipes.”

Emeril’s Bistro 717–Chief Culinary Officer Emeril Lagasse will be bringing back delicious breakfast in the morning and guest’s favorite creole cuisine along with an expansive seafood and raw bar selection for lunch and dinner.  The restaurant is named after Carnival Jubilee’s hull number at Meyer Werft in Germany.

Guests will find The Shores on deck 8. The Shores is a zone inspired by piers, boardwalks and beaches and the ways people enjoy them. There is a massive three deck high fish school art that begins on Deck 6 and ends on Deck 8 bringing guests up from the Currents below to the surface.

Guests will relax while strolling along the boardwalk and enjoying a Ferris wheel-inspired ceiling. Guests will find casual seating areas inside and outside where they can enjoy a delicious pizza from Coastal Slice or a sandwich or hot dog from Beach Buns. The Marina Bar offers lounge seating to enjoy coffee or cocktails while Rudi’s Seagrill and Cucina del Capital are returning with indoor and outdoor seating

Carnival Jubilee is bringing back activities and venues that guests already know and love such as Grand Central, the Ultimate Playground, Summer Landing, and, of course, the Lido.

Guests will still find favorites like Piano Bar 88, The Punchliner Comedy Club, Cloud 9 Fitness Center and the casino within Grand Central. The Ultimate Playground will offer BOLT, the Ultimate Sea Coaster as the centerpiece of the ship’s top deck along with WaterWorks aqua park, SportSquare and the popular rope course.

Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse, the Heroes Tribute Lounge, The Patio and The Watering Hole will be found by strolling through Summer Landing. The poolside zone, Lido, will span Decks 16 and 17 and house favorites such as RedFrog Tiki Bar, Blue Iguana Cantina and Guy’s Burger Joint to name just a few.

Carnival Jubilee will sail from Galveston, Texas on December 23, 2023. She will offer week-long Western Caribbean cruises making her the third ship to call Galveston home.
