Carnival Cruise Line has released more information about Celebration Key, its new exclusive Grand Bahama destination.
Beginning 2025, Celebration Key will offer rest and relaxation across five areas called portals. These portals feature the largest freshwater lagoons in the Caribbean, a white sand beach, an exclusive adult-only private club, and multiple dining and drink venues. The exclusive destination is currently offered on more than 500 of Carnival Cruise Line’s itineraries across 18 Carnival ships setting sail from nine US homeports.
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, said, “No one does fun like Carnival and we are designing Celebration Key, and its five portals, with endless ways for our guests to unlock their own kind of fun in this incredible paradise that also celebrates the beauty of Grand Bahama. Celebration Key is uniquely positioned to bring an island experience to our diverse range of guests, in a way that lets them choose their slice of ‘paradise.’”
Here is a look at the five portals:
The Welcome Portal – Guests are first immersed into the beauty of the destination and welcomed with live music and a larger-than-life sandcastle in the center of Celebration Key. Guests are greeted with information to help guide them to their fun.
The Family-Friendly Portal – Families with children of all ages can spend the day swimming in the large freshwater lagoon which include two racing waterslides in the large sandcastle. The portal offers sports courts, cabana rentals, and spaces geared specifically for children and teens to enjoy.
The Adult-Friendly Portal – This portal includes cabana rentals, beach cabanas, villas with personal slides into the lagoon, a swim-up bar, a talented DJ and floating cabanas. Guests will find multiple dining venues, and a full-service restaurant that will offer local Bahamian cuisine and more.
The Private Club Portal – This private club is also an adult-only retreat with an infinity pool and loungers that overlook the Bahamian waters. One dedicated section of the beach offers premier and private access with an elevated dining experience.
The Retail Portal – This portal showcases Bahamian culture and features painted murals from Bahamian artists. Guests can purchase authentic Bahamian artisanal goods from local Bahamian retailers. The portal also offers several Bahamian food and beverage venues.
Carnival Cruise Line will continue to provide details in the coming months and is already planning a future expansion that includes a waterpark and zipline course.
